On the penultimate day of 2025, at the initiative of the UA Communities platform, with the support of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, within the framework of the Professional Fellows Program, administered by American Councils for International Education in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine, an expert meeting was held at the premises of the Kremenchuk City Public Library, Branch No. 2 named after Pavlo Zhytetskyi.
The event brought together librarians working with children and youth, as well as Valentyna Kramarenko, PhD, lecturer at the Kremenchuk Humanitarian and Technological Academy of the Poltava Regional Council.
The meeting focused on the topic “Thematic Genesis of Contemporary Video and Literary Content in Ukraine: Wartime Challenges.” Participants discussed key issues related to the creation of high-quality content for children and young people in times of war, particularly considering the needs of internally displaced persons and children who have experienced trauma.
Special attention was given to the role of libraries and educators in supporting children’s emotional resilience, fostering critical thinking, and shaping value-based perspectives through literary and multimedia content.
As part of the event, Valentyna Kramarenko presented the author’s text of her children’s book “Mission: Adventures and Friendship.” The story aims to help young readers distinguish between good and evil, appreciate the value of true friendship, and maintain faith in the triumph of light and goodness.
Such professional meetings contribute to the development of cross-sectoral cooperation, the exchange of expertise, and the creation of meaningful, high-quality content for present and future generations of Ukrainian youth.
